Union Engineering is the oldest Engineering Works in Bloemfontein that still operates. It originated in 1952 in Berg Street, Bloemfontein.
Michael Geeringh, a qualified Fitter and Turner, bought Union Engineering Works from Ernie Garzuzy (A Lebanese Engineer) in 1978.
With 3 men and the help from his wife Joyce, Michael built Union Engineering Works up to what it is today. Michael was proud to enroll his son Andre as an apprentice in 1984.
Andre is now the proud owner of Union Engineering with an engineering team of 35 tradesmen.
Estelle, Andre’s wife, heads the management team.
