Battery Factory Shop started operating in April 2010 in Alrode South, Alberton with two staff members. The focus was on motor vehicle batteries servicing the local trucking industry and domestic markets. Later that year we expanded our business and concentrated on industrial battery operated machines. The product range was gradually increased to include battery related accessories and batteries for generators, stand-by, bikes, toys and boats. We then started to repair battery posts and make our own battery connectors, jumper leads etc.
In May 2012, Battery Orbit Kyalami was opened. Battery Orbit Elandsfontein was then opened in August 2012. The Kyalami branch relocated to Midrand in March 2013. In September 2014 we bought Battery SA in Strubensvalley and changed its name to Battery Orbit Strubensvalley. Today it is one of the most unique businesses in Johannesburg. It is a “one stop battery shop for most battery needs”.
We supply industries with batteries, battery acid and battery water and maintenance of battery operated machines. For the domestic market, we supply, gate motor, alarms, vehicle leisure, solar and appliance batteries. We repack drill packs and build up hobby packs using Ni-MH or Ni-Cd batteries. We sell a wide range of charging, invertor, solar systems accessories and we do much more.
We service the greater Johannesburg and surrounding areas and have successfully established an excellent name and reputation for the business with four branches.
