About Skagit Valley Early Learning Center
Our center cares for children ages 4 weeks - 5 years. We offer high quality Christian childcare in a loving, educational, and fun environment. We make sure to love and nurture each child while promoting their physical, emotional, and mental development. All of our classes have a curriculum with lesson plans designed by the teacher, which include age appropriate activities to promote development of social/emotional skills, language, sensory exploration, fine and gross motor skills, awareness of health and hygiene, small and large group activities. Each week many of the activities will be centered around a theme - seasons, holidays, animals, Bible stories, community helpers, families, etc.
We are open Monday-Friday from 6:45am - 6:00 pm. Each of our toddler and preschool classrooms has a daily schedule of activities, meals, outside playtime, and naptime. In our infant room we design each child's schedule according to his or her individual needs. We provide breakfast, lunch, and two snacks, as well as baby food, formula, and milk.
Your child would have the opportunity to play in both teacher-directed and child-directed activities, both alone and with a group of children. Your toddler or preschool child will also play outside on the playground every morning and afternoon, and our infants and toddlers also go for a ride in our strollers or wagons, weather permitting.
